Project scope
We won the tender to work with Visit County Durham to produce the Durham Pocket Guide and have delivered the publication annually since 2017.
This was the first time Visit County Durham had appointed a third party to produce its long-established guide and the results have continued to exceed expectations.
We manage the entire project, providing design, advertising sales, copy proofing and print management, ensuring Visit County Durham are involved with every key decision along the way. The client remains delighted with our service and with the overall publication.

Client feedback
“The annual Visit County Durham Pocket Guide is the primary post-arrival visitor guide to Durham containing things to see and do. The guide provides a snapshot of the destination and is a primary advertising platform for many of the county’s tourism products and experiences. Offstone Publishing was appointed as the contract publisher to manage the process of advertising sales, design, print and financial administration of our 2018 Guide. Our members are accustomed to us producing an annual publication and we were keen to ensure a seamless transition for advertisers and stakeholders. Offstone Publishing achieved this, and their dedicated sales solution and project management approach to the process led to an increase in sales over the previous year’s edition. We will be seeking to strengthen this partnership arrangement for future editions.”
