About Us

Our name – Offstone – dates back to the days when members of our team worked together in newspapers and ‘off stone’ was the moment at which an edition was finalised for printing. The term comes from the old days, when a slab of stone or metal on which the type was set was used to align the text.

While our roots are in newspapers and magazines, our heart is in communication. While the core of our business is in-house and client magazines, we produce a diverse portfolio of printed publications for a wide variety of industries, interests and clients right across the UK and beyond. Utilising the unique experiences of our team, we also have a long track record of producing results through marketing, public relations, copywriting, web design, graphic design, print buying, and lots more.

We’re recognised as one of the most versatile magazine publishers around, producing multiple in-house titles including Appetite, Northern Golfer, Lakes and Cumbria Today, and Tyne to Tweed.
