Northern Golfer

The region's only dedicated golf magazine

Northern Golfer was born out of a passion for the game of golf, a love of the North East and its neighbouring regions, and a commitment to bringing the region’s fairways to the fore. There are golf courses to be extremely proud of in this geographically diverse region and most can stand alongside any in the land, not only for the challenges they present, but for the friendly welcome and quality experience they provide – from the opening drive to the final putt on the 18th.

Our aim in each issue of the magazine (distributed to more than 200 clubs and golf retailers bi-monthly) is to highlight the news, comment and features from the big clubs, small courses, star professionals, elite amateurs, and club golfers of all ages. In addition, our website, social media channels and Northern Golfer Weekly emails enable us to update readers with all the latest news as it happens.

Northern Golfer is researched, designed and written by people who know golf, journalism, print and publishing inside out. You could also say people with drive. In April 2023, we celebrated the publication of Northern Golfer’s 100th edition, and while we rightly looked back at 12 years of success, we also took the chance to redesign the magazine, increase its size and pagination, and reset as we began the journey to our 200th edition.

Join us for the full round and keep up-to-date with all that’s happening in golf right across the region.

Distribution

10,000 copies of the magazine are distributed free bi-monthly to all of the region’s golf clubs, and selected retailers from the Scottish Borders to Leeds, and west to Cumbria.
